Fidem handles unreleased product geometry, which is among the most sensitive material a hardware company owns. This page describes exactly what we collect and what we do with it, in plain language.
Last updated · 10 August 2026If you are given early access, we store the email address associated with your account and authentication records needed to keep you signed in. Sign-in is handled by Google Identity Platform; we never see or store your password.
When you upload a CAD assembly we store the file, the geometric features our engine derives from it, the DFM findings, and the should-cost output. We also keep a record of which analyses you ran so results can be reloaded.
If you use Fidem to contact factories, we store the messages exchanged through the platform, including translated versions, so the thread stays readable to both sides.
Our hosting providers record standard request metadata — timestamp, path, response status, coarse region, user agent. We use it to keep the service running and to investigate faults.
We do not run behavioural advertising, and we do not build profiles for resale.
Fidem is a small team and we rely on established infrastructure providers rather than running our own. Each acts as a processor on our instructions:
We do not transfer your files to any other third party. In particular, we do not send geometry to a factory, a broker, or a marketplace unless you explicitly ask us to as part of a sourcing request.
Your designs are yours. We do not use customer CAD files, derived geometry, or analysis output to train or fine-tune machine-learning models, and our contracts with model providers are configured so that content sent for inference is not used for their training either.
Wherever you live, you may ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy in a portable format. Residents of California, the EEA, and the UK have these rights by statute; we extend the same handling to everyone because maintaining two standards is not worth the complexity.
Write to contact@fidemmanufacture.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you for a request or treat you differently for making one.
The public site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Fidem Studio sets a single session cookie so you stay signed in; clearing it signs you out. That cookie is strictly necessary and cannot be disabled while using the application.
Traffic is encrypted in transit, files are encrypted at rest by our storage providers, and access to production data is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise — if a breach affects your data we will tell you promptly and describe what happened.
Fidem is a tool for businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page and, for anything that affects how we use data you have already given us, email you before it takes effect.
Fidem is operated from Stanford, California, United States. For any privacy question or request, write to contact@fidemmanufacture.com and it will reach the person responsible for this policy directly. We will provide our registered postal address on request.
